The Problem: Player 2 Gets Kicked in Split Screen Mode
According to multiple reports, after installing the latest update, players trying to enable split screen for Zombies or Multiplayer are immediately getting kicked out. If you’ve landed on this video, chances are you’re dealing with the same issue.

Temporary Workaround to Fix Split Screen in Black Ops 6
For PlayStation 5 Users:
1️⃣ Close the game completely and return to the PS5 home screen.
2️⃣ Log out or remove the second account/controller by pressing X for 15 seconds.
3️⃣ Relaunch the game and, when you reach the start screen, press X to continue.
4️⃣ Close the advertisement by pressing O (circle).
5️⃣ At the grid menu, add the second player as you normally would.
6️⃣ Now, select either Multiplayer or Zombies, and both accounts should be added and ready to play.
For Xbox Users:
✔ The process is mostly the same, except you don’t need to completely close the game or disconnect the controller.
✔ Simply return to the grid menu from Multiplayer or Zombies mode.
✔ Press A to add the second player.
✔ That’s it—you should now be able to play split screen!
Important: Since this is just a temporary workaround, it may not work the first time. Try it multiple times if needed. One player even reported that it took 24 attempts before split screen finally worked. Yes, it’s frustrating, but this is the best fix we have until an official patch is released.
