Counter-Strike 2 is launched recently and lots of users have already installed it on their PCs. Although games have generated huge user databases, there’s a group of users who’re unable to play this game due to bugs, issues, and error messages they’re receiving when trying to launch the games.
In my previous posts, I have covered various Counter Strike 2 issues with possible fixes. In today’s post, I’m going to cover another issue that users are facing when they’re trying to play Counter Strike 2.
According to reports from users, when they try to launch Counter-Strike 2, the Error dialog box appears, with this message i.e.
CRenderDeviceMgrDx11::CreateDevice(); This application require DX11, no valid device found
And if you made up to this post, then you’re facing the same issue, right? So let’s learn how to fix this issue.
Fix – Counter Strike 2 This application requires DX11, no valid device found!
Open the Steam app on your PC.
Switch to the Library tab on the top.
Here, locate Counter-Strike on the left panel. Right-click on it and select Properties.
In the Properties window that opens, select General.
On the right side, locate the Launch Options section. Here, you need to make sure, it’s clear.
If there is any launch options command added in the field, then clear all, close the properties window, exit the steam client, and relaunch it.
Try to launch the game and this time it should fix the issue for you.
In case, the launch options field is clear already, then in the same field, add -dx11
, after that close the Properties window.
Exit Steam.
Relaunch Steam and try to launch the game and check if this fixes the issue.
So these are two solutions that worked for most of the users in fixing the issue. If these methods fail to fix the issue, then maybe your device is outdated.

I’m also looking for other solutions as well. If I find a new solution, then I will update the post.
If you’re aware of any other solution, then share in the comments, as it will help other affected gamers.
