Microsoft Edge v114 replaced the Reset Sync option with Re-sync now. With this change, it becomes impossible to delete data from edge browsers synced on Microsoft servers.
When Microsoft introduced the Reset Sync option, clicking the button deletes all the browsing data stored on the Microsoft server except the data available on the current device.
On the other hand, the Re-sync option will merge your local browsing data with your sync data stored on the Microsoft servers. As a result, the company blocked the option to remove edge-synced data from the cloud.
Some users who’re concerned about their privacy are not happy with this change. If you landed on this blog post, then you’re one out of them for sure, right?
