Windows 11 offers several options to customize your lock screen status, including calendar, weather, 3D viewer, Mail, and Xbox console companion. While you might usually have a specific option in mind when changing the lock screen status, there’s a major bug to watch out for if you’re feeling playful and want to try them all out quickly.
According to XKraft on Reddit, a strange bug lurks within the lock screen status options. If you rapidly select different options repeatedly for a few seconds, the Settings app will crash. He has spotted this issue in Windows 11 23H2 Build 22631.3672.
The weird thing is that this issue isn’t showing up on any Insider channels; instead, it’s been spotted on the stable channel. While the problem isn’t very concerning since most people don’t normally change lock screen status like that, it definitely raises a question about the stability of Windows.
Microsoft hasn’t acknowledged this issue yet. Perphas they’re not aware of it. You can share this issue with Microsoft using the Feedback Hub app on your computer.
