Microsoft is making some improvements to the Taskbar that may come in future versions of Windows 11. After testing a new animation for Taskbar (that was removed immediately) in Windows 11 build 25182, the company is testing the quick loading of Taskbar including the app’s icon when you log in to the PC.
You can check the illustration that compares the difference between the old and new loading of the Taskbar in Windows 11.
In case, you find this change (load the taskbar much faster) interesting and would like to give it a try, then it’s available in Windows 11 build 25182 (Dev channel) but hidden. Fortunately, you can enable it right away on your PC.
How to Make Taskbar Load Faster in Windows 11
Download the latest version of Vivetool from Github.
Extract content of zip file to c:\vivetool folder.
Launch Windows Terminal with admin rights. For that, right-click on the Start button and select “Terminal (admin)“.
When the UAC dialog box appears, click Yes to continue.
Depending on your default profile shell, you need to execute this command: c:\vivetool\vivetool.exe /enable /id:39751186 /store:both
Once you get the message “Successfully set feature configuration”, you’re done.
Reboot your PC.
In case, you’re not happy with this change, then you can execute this command: c:\vivetool\vivetool.exe /enable /id:39751186 /store:both
to undo the changes.
Congratulations, you’ve successfully enabled the fast loading of Taskbar on Windows 11 PC. Are you going to activate this new feature in Windows 11 right away? Let us know your opinion in the comments.
