Sway, a popular presentation creation tool from Microsoft, is currently experiencing problems for some users. According to reports on Microsoft Answers (1, 2), users have been facing issues with Sway since last month, including:
- Inability to upload or download content
- Slow loading times
- Difficulty generating presentations, such as weekly newsletters
- Browsers hanging or failing to connect to Sway
Microsoft has acknowledged (it is an incident SW806219) the problem and confirmed that it’s affecting a specific group of users. Their team is investigating the issue using service monitoring telemetry to identify the cause and develop a fix.
Unfortunately, there’s no official solution or workaround available yet. Microsoft suggests contacting their support for further assistance.
As a temporary solution, users experiencing issues on Chrome or Edge browsers can try switching to Firefox. Some users have reported that Sway functions properly on Firefox.
We hope Microsoft resolves the issue soon. In the meantime, if you’ve found a solution that works for you, please share it in the comments to help other affected users.
