The Snipping Tool is a built-in Windows program for taking screenshots and recording your screen. Microsoft consistently adds new features to keep it up-to-date. Some of the new features coming to Snipping Tool include an emoji palette and a QR code scanner. Additionally, a new toggle in the Snipping Tool settings menu will allow you to adjust the color of HDR screenshots.
Currently, when you take a screenshot and click on the shape option in the Snipping Tool, you are limited to adding a square, circle, straight line, and arrow. However, with the upcoming update, you will have the option to add emojis to your screenshots. This will allow you to make your screenshots more engaging.

The QR Code option that appears in the bottom-right corner will allow you to detect QR codes within the screenshot.

Lastly, there is also a new toggle (HDR screenshot color corrector) in the settings menu of the Snipping Tool that you can enable to adjust the screenshots you have taken on HDR monitors. While both of the aforementioned features are currently in testing, the HDR screenshot color corrector option is available for all users in the app version 11.2403.8.0.

Are you excited about these features, and what other features would you like Microsoft to add to the Snipping Tool? Share your thoughts in the comments.
