What is YouTube Playables
If you don’t know. YouTube Playables is a new feature using which users can play popular online mini-games directly on the YouTube web and YouTube app for Android and iOS devices.
The Playables feature is available as a YouTube experimental feature and exclusive to YouTube Premium users. With YouTube Experiments, the company often test feature with paid users before implementing the feature to all users (Those users who haven’t purchased the YouTube premium.)
With Playables, users get access to 30+ online mini-games which include Brain Out, The Daily Crossword, Angry Birds Showdown, Daily Solitaire, and even more popular games.
How to Get YouTube Playables (Web)
In case, you landed on this blog post, you may own YouTube Premium but there’s no Playables option, right? Don’t worry, in this blog, I will show you how to get access to Playables option on YouTube.
To get access to the Playables feature users have to enable it manually. Here’s what you need to do:
On YouTube for web, visit this page: https://www.youtube.com/new
On this page, locate the “Play games on YouTube” section. Here, you will get information about this feature and how to use it accompanied by on which platforms this feature is available.
Simply, click on the “Try it out” button. And you’re done.
After that, refresh the page.
How to Get YouTube Playable (Android & iOS)
To enable the Playable feature on YouTube for Android and iOS devices. Here’s what you need to do:
Tap on the Profile picture icon.
Tap on the Settings (Gear) icon.
In the list of options, locate and tap Try experimental new features.
Here, locate the Play Games on YouTube option and tap on the Try it out button.
After that, remove the app from the recent app list.

How to Play Games on YouTube Playables (Web)
On the YouTube home screen, click on the Hamburger icon in the upper left corner and scroll down to Explore section. Find and click on the Playables option.
On this Playables page, you will find some popular games popular among users. Apart from this, you can switch to the Browse tab to find more games.
To play a particular game, click on the Start Game button and enjoy the game.
On the game screen, you will find the option to control the volume and switch to full-screen mode. Apart from this, if you click the (…) icon, you will see other options as well including the option to share the game.
How to Play Games on YouTube Playables (Android |iOS)
On your smartphone, Tap on Compass icon.
From the menu that opens, locate and tap of Playables option.
On the Playables screen, you will get a list of the games, tap on the games you want to play and start playing the game.
The Playable feature is available till March 28, 2024. After this, if YouTube decides to keep the feature, then it will be rolled out to user out of the box and nonpremium users will also be able to access YouTube Playables.
