Microsoft has been constantly updating various applications. Recently, they brought changes to the Weather application.
The new version of the Weather application will now provide news related to ‘local weather’ in the main window. The left sidebar for reading the related news before have been removed totally.
Windows 10 Weather application provides local forecast and weather information near to you. It keeps a record of hourly and daily temperature spikes and alerts you with proper guidance. So that you can plan your day accordingly.
Microsoft uses MSN service to provide Weather forecast information. They provide temperature details in °F (Fahrenheit) and °C (Celsius).
Before the update, you have to click on a button in order to read news related to the weather. This button was placed on the left corner near to a promotional button that would ask you to download the Microsoft News application.
After the update, you can directly find the weather-related news on the right side (4 at a time) with a button ‘See all’ that will redirect you to News application. Microsoft has even updated the User Interface of this application to make it more convenient for users to understand the information.
Unfortunately, there’s no option available at the moment to hide news in the Weather app, it is expected that it will be available in the future.
To enjoy the feature, you need to be running Weather app v4.43.21842.0 and its available in the latest Dev Channel/Fast Ring build of Windows 10.
