JULY 10, 2024 | Microsoft has made it known that it has fixed the taskbar problem that arose in recent days, with the July cumulative update.
Microsoft recently rolled out Windows 11 KB5039302 breaks the PCs with Infinite Reboot Bug, which was paused later by the company.
Now, Microsoft resume the rollout of the same update, and this time, it comes with a new bug that breaks the taskbar.
After installing the update, it’s possible that the Taskbar is missing, freezing, or not responding when you try to interact with it.
According to information shared on the Microsoft Support page, the issue is exclusive to users running Windows 11 N edition or in PCs where the “Media feature” is turned off.
The good thing is it’s an issue from Microsoft’s end and they are working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.
In the meantime, if you’re running Windows 11 edition other than N edition and still facing the issue, then make sure to turn ON the ‘Media feature‘ by accessing “Windows feature turn on or off” from a control panel before installing this update
For that, click on the search icon and type Windows feature turn on or off, when the same control panel setting appears in the search results, click to open it.
In the window that opens, check the box for the “Media feature” option, and click OK. In case, it asks for a reboot of your PC do it as well.
Or wait for the upcoming update released by the company.
