If you really think that the program you’re trying to install is safe and you have downloaded it from genuine source, then you can install the program by temporarily disabling the Avast Antivirus.

How to Disable Avast Antivirus Temporarily

For whatever reason you want to turn off avast antivirus, here’s how you can do that:

Click on the Triangle icon available on the left side of Windows 10 Taskbar. This will launch the Notification area.

Here, you need to right click on the Avast Antivirus icon. This will show you options related to security suite.

Next, you need to select Avast shields control. You will find four different options which includes:

  • Disable for 10 minutes
  • Disable for 1 hour
  • Disable until computer is restarted
  • Disable Permanently

Depending on your requirement, you can select any option. If you want to temporarily turn off Avast antivirus, then you can go with first three options.

To disable Avast Antivirus permanently, you can select Disable Permanently option.
