How to Tell if Someone Blocked you on Skype
Lots of users expect that Skype must notify them when their friends block them, but in reality, Skype doesn’t do that. Due to this reason, they have to figure out the same thing by finding clues available in the profile of the user. Now, this raises the question in the mind of users, i.e., What are those clues and How to know if someone blocked you on Skype?
To escort users from this situation I decided to write this post in which you will read about all the trick using which you can confirm if someone blocked you on Skype or not.
Note: In this post, I’m going to take the example of one of my friend profile (Andy Murry) who has blocked me.
So without further delay why don’t you start reading about it:
1. First of all visit ‘Skype for Web‘ page using this link.
2. Here you need to enter the credentials of your Skype account.
3. Now make a right click on the contact which you think has blocked you. From the context menu select ‘Delete Conversation.’ (In my case its ‘Andy Murry’).
The same user will disappear from your contact list.
4. Now search for the same user using the search bar. When the contact appears in the search result again make a right click and from context menu ‘Delete Contact.’
Again the contact will disappear from the contact list.
Now if you try to search the same contact again using the name, email id, or even the Skype id, the contact will not appear in the Skype directory.
Conclusion: What that means is that the particular user has blocked you on the Skype that’s why the contact does not appear in the Skype Directory.
If you follow the same procedure on another contact, you will notice that contact get invisible but appear in the search result even if you delete the conversation and contact.
Note: Also keep in mind that other clues like no profile picture, no online status, error while calling a user, and other are no longer confirm that the particular users have blocked you on the Skype because of the updated interface and functionality of the service.
This trick on how to tell if someone blocked you on Skype works hundred percent (2018) as I tested this for two of my contact.
