How to Show suggestions from Pinterest in Microsoft Edge Collections

Microsoft at Build 2020 conference announced that they working on bringing Pinterest integration to Collections feature in Microsoft Edge browser. The purpose of collaboration between Edge and Pinterest is to make it easier for the users to find out relevant content related to project or research.

Starting with Microsoft Edge in Canary channel v84.0.521.0, the company introduced a new setting called “Show suggestions from Pinterest in Collections“. Once enabled, you will start seeing Pinterest suggestion related collections you have curated. You can also export Collections to Pinterest boards.

Enable Pinterest suggestions in Collections in Microsoft Edge

If you can’t wait to try this new feature available in Microsoft Edge browser, then here’s how you can enable it.

Launch Microsoft Edge browser v84.0.521.0 and above.

Next, click on the Ellipse (…) icon and select Settings.

Here, you need to switch to Privacy and Services tab available on the left pane. On the right side, scroll down to Services section.

Show suggestions from Pinterest in Collections

Move the slider for “Show suggestions from Pinterest in Collections” to ON position.

At this point, you have successfully enabled the Pinterest Suggestion feature in Microsoft Edge. Now based on Collection title, Pinterest Suggestions will start appearing at the bottom of a collection.

Once you click on the suggestion, it will take you to Pinterest and show you some boards. You can add those boards into your collection. You can make a right click and select Add to Collection from the menu.

Export Collection to Pinterest

In case, you want to send or export your curated Collection from Microsoft Edge to Pinterest account, then here’s what you need to do.

In case, you have already created the collection in Edge browser, then click on the (…) icon and select Collections.

Click on the name to select and open the collection.

Next, click on the (…) icon and select Send to Pinterest. Instantly Pinterest site will open up in the browser.

Here, login using your credentials and then click on the Give access to Authorize the app.

Instantly it will be saved to Pinterest.
