Microsoft is working on Chromium based Edge browser that will replace Edge on Windows 10. The download link for Chromium Edge is leaked by PCBeta a week ago about which we have covered already in earlier posts.
Microsoft recently released the Windows 10 20H1 Build 18865 to the Skip Ahead ring and guess what? It has the Chromium Edge in the Sandbox, one can easily find it at following location:
C:\Users\WDAGUtilityAccount\AppData\Local\MicrosoftEdge.
Now if you run the Chromium Edge browser from their and head over to the About section of the browser, then you will find out that it is powered by Chromium and its build number is 75.0.111.0 the same build which was leaked a week ago.
As per the information shared by the cited source, Microsoft is doing
According to the cited source, not all users are getting the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge, as Microsoft is just conducted a very limited experiment. This means there’s a big chance you won’t be getting it for the time being until Microsoft makes it available for everyone in the Insider program.

In case, you’re not seeing any application on your machine, then nothing to worry about. You can still download the leaked version of Chromium edge using the link mentioned
No matter if the report is real or not, you can still try out the new Microsoft Edge version using the download link in the first paragraph. Just keep in mind that it’s still an experimental build and not everything might work as expected.
Chromium Edge leaked build include syncing of favorites, extension support, dark mode and even more. The good part is that it performs well on Windows 10 as compared to the current Edge browser. Also, it has features which the current Edge browser still lack, one out of them is PiP Mode.
