Microsoft Edge Omnibox now has an option called Remove Suggestion (X) option using which you can delete unwanted autofill entries with a single click. Let’s dig into the feature.
Whenever you start typing anything in Omnibox of Edge browser it automatically starts showing URL suggestions. Sometimes you find suggestions that are not related to the query you’re looking for.
Even if you clean your browsing history in Edge browser, it keeps showing you suggestions that you don’t want to appear whenever you search for something.
Although, it is possible to clear these types of Autofill suggestions by using the keyboard combination SHIFT + DELETE.
Microsoft added the Remove suggestion (X) button starting with Edge v86 which makes it easier for the users to remove unwanted suggestions in the Omnibox.
The Chrome browser already has the option to delete autocomplete URLs. Since the Edge browser is based on Chromium it was expected that the same feature will make it to the Edge browser.
Microsoft now allows users to disable recent searches in the address browser of Edge browser accompanied by other searches suggestion based on browsing history, sites you visit often, and related.
